A short guide to Doko Maps.

Start with the task in front of you. Each answer names the button you are looking for.

Getting started

Enter your email on Sign in and open the link we send. It works once and expires after 15 minutes.

Choose your name

Your name is your profile address. Set it, with a short bio and picture, from your profile.

Start your trial

Open Pricing and start the 7-day trial. Stripe asks for payment details; nothing is charged today.

Itineraries

Create an itinerary

In Itineraries, choose Create itinerary. Give it a title, your guest's name, the first and last day, and the currency you quote in.

Plan a day

Inside a day, use Add something to do to search for a place or pick a saved one, and Add a journey for the travel between.

Add stays and passes

Open Trip details, stays & sharing, then Add a stay or Add a pass. A stay runs from check-in to check-out.

Change the order

Drag an item into place, or open its menu to move it up, down or to another day.

Reuse a trip

Choose Duplicate in your itinerary list, then set the new title, guest and first day. The original stays as it is.

Sharing with your guest

Send the guest link

In Manage access, choose Create guest link, copy it and send it yourself. Revoke guest link closes it at once.

Choose the prices they see

Under Prices, set what the book link and the itinerary link show: nothing, the total, or the total and its breakdown.

Show it on your profile

Make public lists the itinerary on your profile for anyone to read. Your guest's name is never shown there.

Answer enquiries

Requests from your public itineraries arrive by email and wait in Enquiries. Reply by email or phone.

Guides and places

Make a guide

In My maps, choose Start a collection, then search for places and add each one with your note and a category.

Import your links

In My Places, paste links into Import links and choose Find Places. Confirm any place Doko Maps is not sure about.

Edit your categories

Manage categories changes a name, icon or color everywhere it is used.

Public or private

A guide is private until you make it public. Followers you approve can read your private guides too.

Working together

Invite an editor

In Manage access, invite a colleague by email. They accept from Invitations, and the work appears under Shared with me.

Use the planning assistant

Ask it in plain words from the editor. Review what it added in the day plan; it adds and reorders, and never deletes.

Hand over a trip

Transfer ownership gives the work and its billing to an accepted editor with their own plan. You stay on as an editor.

Billing and trouble

Manage or cancel billing

Open Billing, then Manage billing. Stripe handles payment details and cancellation securely.

When a subscription ends

Everything stays. You can read it, revoke guest links, make work private and delete it. Subscribe again to edit.

Something is not working

Refresh the page and check System Status. If it continues, write to [email protected] with the page, the time and the message you saw.
